The project
The challenge
The house had one of the best outlooks on the harbour but the layout ignored it. Small windows, a closed-off kitchen and a membrane deck that had been leaking for years.
The approach
We opened the living areas to the view, replaced every window and door, and rebuilt the deck as a proper outdoor room. The clients stayed in touch weekly and every decision was priced before it was made.
The result
A home that finally uses its site. Larger glazing, oak joinery throughout, and a deck the family now lives on for half the year.

A leaking membrane deck above the garage was rebuilt as a covered outdoor room, adding usable space and solving the water issue for good.
Solved in real time
Existing plans did not match what we found in the walls, so we worked through practical solutions with the architect as each issue came up.
Performance upgrades
New glazing, insulation and detailing lifted the home well beyond the original brief without changing the budget.
